Default Limitations and differences of LS1 block?

ok boys heres the deal. i have the origional LS1 out of my 2001 SS sittin in my garage. i replaced it after a cam mishap that sent some shavings through the motor obviously damaging the bearings and what not. I got a New Ls1 from GM and i noticed the head bolt lengths were different what other differences are there? and also i want to take that origional one and use it for a boosted application, im planning on throwing a set of 317 heads on with an APS kit. how much will those blocks handle?

I would go with some arp head studs when you throw on the 317's. Here's some stock bottom end reading. https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-in...lity-list.html
