Default Launching Procharger w/Transbrake question

Will a procharged motor build boost on a transbrake? I would assume so since the motor is at full throttle with a load against the brake right?

The amount of boost would depend mostly on the converter. You could have a transbrake on a stock converter and it only make a lb or two. If the converter will go 3000+ you will definately see some boost.

With your Vig 3600 converter you'll build boost. Bob

Alright, thanks for the responses. My next question is how much boost will it build. For example:

During a full throttle pass the motor makes 10 psi at 4000 rpm.
The motor will go 4000 rpm on the brake.
Will I be making 10 psi against the brake and on the launch?

Awesome, this is going to be fun! I was cutting high 1.6 60 foots off the foot brake at 3400 and was only getting maybe 1 lb of boost (cant full throttle on the foot brake). I'm sending my trans back to flt for the brake and going to get my converter loosened up another 500. It flashes like 3700 so this ought to be a huge difference huh?

Yeahit will be a big difference, it may end up being too much rpm/boost. In that case you may want a 2 step to get the right rpm launch rpm for your suspension set-up.

You're almost certainly going to need a 2 step. A buddy of mine runs a similar combo, and it pushed the converter nearly to the limiter on the t-brake without a 2 step.
