Default Shortblock questions

Hey guys I was hoping you could give me some info. I got a friend who I think is getting ripped off by a shop.

My question is if a motor is built with a 15 psi blower in mind, but halfway through its decided to run a 15 psi turbo set-up instead, would a built short-block (i.e. forged internals etc.) handle either set-up? Basically is their a glaring difference between a Blown short-block and a turbo short-block that wouldn't let the blown short block survive under a turbo? I've always thought that boost is boost. thanks

BOOST IS BOOST!!!! Only the cr would really be in mind. Most people would run a 9.5 cr on a blower and 9.1 on a turbo or even 8.8 cr. It really dont matter unelsss u go away from pump gass then u can run a 11.1 or 12. cr on the goooood stuff.
