why does DEI say it is not recommended to spray the titanium wrap with silicone spray ?

titanium will deteriorats with some chemicals and heat

is that titanium wrap really better then the fiberglass? i need to buy some wrap but i don't want to get anything yet till i know what that titanium stuff is all about.

I use the titanium, it holds heat in very well and I dont have to worry about having oil soak into it and catch fire when it gets hot either.
