Default rear mount question

are headers had for a rear mount turbo setup? ive heard tthey are because the headers disperse heat to well. what ifi just wrap the headers

hey bro, im just gonna tell you, HEADERS ARE BAD FOR A REARMOUNT.

And also, people probably didnt answer because this is a question that has been covered 100s of times here. A simple search would have yielded tons of info on this.

Agreed! Do a search youll find alot of info.... also look up zombie, he has a very effective rearmount

Haha... Years ago Zombie, 1320 and I have posted alot of info with our setups. From coated to fully wrapped with ceramic insulation and header wrap... We covered the reasons all the way down to the thermodynamics of air expansion / volume.

Years ago... they told us rear-mounts that we could never do it. Now I drive a low 9 sec car, and Zombie runs a DD that is capable of the same (affected some by altitude).

This spring I will see 8's... and thats with a rear-mount, AC, full weight, and now with O/D transmission! (Got rid of my TH400 went to 4L80e)
