Does the BW SX80 really have 5" inlet?

Default Does the BW SX80 really have 5" inlet?

That's huge, it looks like the compressor mouth opening is only 3" Does anyone make a silicone reducer to go from 5" to 3" so I could run 3" intake tubing? I don't think there would be a restriction.

If the inlet is 5" that is what they determined would be best for airflow, putting on a pipe that is nearing half will be a restriction.

The actual opening into the mouth of the compressor is 3"

Yes but there is the flow into the three inch compressor blade which is why the 5"
also they do that for multiple turbos with one casting

3" will limit you on power. I'm thinking of upgrading my 4" intake piping to 5".
