Default 2500hd lq9/w pt88 questions

On a 05 2500 hd thats lifted 6" on 35's with the HO 6.0 block im intrested in pulling the block and working it and throwing a front mount pt 88. I've followed a few of these builds on drag/street cars and very fond of the numbers put down. My main objective is not to race the vehicle. I would like to be able to put down some power and play with the diesel trucks, but at the same time daily drive it here and there. So i would like to hear what the pros think about this. Thank you

I run a 00 1500 with 285's and a small 62-1 front mount turbo and it is great. An 88 may be a little large for what you are doing, 76 may suite your needs a little better.

.....and as for your question about playing with diesels? A well tuned and setup 2500HD will own most smokers on the highway!

the good thing about a turbo motor is that you can have 2000hp when you want it at a touch of a button and tone it done just when you are cruising around, this is done by controlling the wastegate with a boost controller.

It is a great platform, already has a 14 bolt rear, and a 80e trans. Can't go wrong we have built some heavy gas trucks like that, and the run 11s with ease.
