6.0 truck or ls1
I tried in a different post and got no reply so here it goes. Just bought a 98 camaro motor is out and short block is done stock. I have another project and I have a brand new lq4 6.0 and 4l80 trans for that .So my question is would it be better to go one way or the other because my plan is to put turbos or a procharger on the camaro? Not planning on going super crazy on boost but pushing a stock low end. So what do you think ??????? THANKS

let me get this striaght, you have a camaro with the ls1 pulled out and the short block has been built back to stock specs, and you have a 6.0 with 4l80 that's been pulled out of a truck, if that's right what I do know is whatever you are planning you will eventually want more if you want 10lbs you'll be wanting 15, so what I would do is focus on whichever is cheapest and will give you the most hp and longevity, I think you'll get mixed responses but untill someone figures a replacement for displacement, more cubes = more hp and less mpg, Man If it were me I'd have to put some new bearings, forged pistons cam and gaskets on the 6.0, they really make good numbers but they LOVE fuel.
