Default 9lbs of boost then nothing on Vortech Ttrim

I hope someone can point me in the right direction. I recently replaced my vortech gtrim with a ttrim, basically just changed out the head unit and brackets. Since then when I get on it the boost will spike to about 9lbs then drop back down to 0. If I disconnect the vacuum line going to the bypass valve it will hold steady at 9lbs. Other than the supercharger everything is the same as when I was running the gtrim and I had no problems with it. Could this be the bypass valve.

When on boost, it would be impossible for it go make more boost with the signal line off the BOV, than on it.

All its doing is applying positive pressure to assist the spring with keeping it closed.

With no line attached you are relying on spring pressure alone.

Are you sure everything is plumbed correctly ? What is that line going to the intake pipe before the blower ?

And is the car actually losing power, or is it just the gauge reading ?

Where is your vacuum reference for the boost gauge?

that line is going to the tube on the pass side valve cover. On the install directions for the gtrim thats where it said to route it to. And yeah it shoot up to about 9lbs then just as fast drop to 0 and fall on it,s face.

The vacuum line to the bypass valve is t,d off the brake booster line and the boost gauge is t,d off of that.

Why not block off the bypass before spending money on something you may not need?

I was talking to a couple of people and they were saying with an automatic I might not need it, so I was thinking about giving it a shot. Anybody else have any opinions (good or bad) about this idea?

You should definatly use one, it extends the life of the supercharger. I was saying just temporarily block it off to see it that cures your problem.

I think I found the problem, I took the lid off that I had custom made for me and now it cranks up to 10/11 lbs boost so I believe the opening in the lid is the culprit.

At what rpm did this occur? Mine is currently doing the same exact thing at 4k. I have no idea what the problem is. If I run an open inlet tube normally before it would pickup 2lbs but now it just falls on its face at all rpms?

If I got on it pretty hard it would do it at about 4000 rpm, it would hit about 9lbs then just fall flat on it,s face. Took the lid off and now It will go about 10 or 11 lbs and hold it. Did yours just start doing it?
