9lbs of boost then nothing on Vortech Ttrim
I hope someone can point me in the right direction. I recently replaced my vortech gtrim with a ttrim, basically just changed out the head unit and brackets. Since then when I get on it the boost will spike to about 9lbs then drop back down to 0. If I disconnect the vacuum line going to the bypass valve it will hold steady at 9lbs. Other than the supercharger everything is the same as when I was running the gtrim and I had no problems with it. Could this be the bypass valve.

When on boost, it would be impossible for it go make more boost with the signal line off the BOV, than on it.
All its doing is applying positive pressure to assist the spring with keeping it closed.
With no line attached you are relying on spring pressure alone.
Are you sure everything is plumbed correctly ? What is that line going to the intake pipe before the blower ?
And is the car actually losing power, or is it just the gauge reading ?

I was talking to a couple of people and they were saying with an automatic I might not need it, so I was thinking about giving it a shot. Anybody else have any opinions (good or bad) about this idea?

If I got on it pretty hard it would do it at about 4000 rpm, it would hit about 9lbs then just fall flat on it,s face. Took the lid off and now It will go about 10 or 11 lbs and hold it. Did yours just start doing it?
