running a stock motored turbo car na
I know this isnt a ls question but i figured you guys could help
i have an 88 civic that is turbocharged and intercooled. recently the ecu fried so i had to replace it with a stock ecu and stock injectors. I cant afford to have it tuned for a few weeks at least and i dont want the motor to blow.
my question is this
between the throttle body and the intercooler there is 2 pipes with a coupler connecting them. can i disconnect the pipe from the intercooler to the coupler and just run a filter on the end of the pipe going to the intake, like a cold air intake would?
i am trying to keep the motor out of boost. are there any downsides or possible issues with allowing the intercooler to vent to atmosphere?
