Default intake elbows

im looking into getting a elbow and wanted to go with the low profile edelbrock elbow but i want to run my 78 tb and it only comes in a 90mm can i run the 78 on a 90 flange and if so will it hurt in performance...

As long as it physically seals on the flange it will be fine.

There is little need for TB's as large as 90mm unless you are making silly HP ( ie well well over 1000bhp )

yes you can use a smaller tb its when you go over 90mm there's and issue but i also will tell you gmhightech just did a dyno comparison on elbow great article and they made hp differences noticeable too like 15-25 hp check it out or if it doesnt matter thank good luck

on a boosted or n/a application ?

boosted, 90mm is excessive for most builds

Yeah it really depends if its forced induction or not. GM hightech did a comparison between a factory plastic L76 intake, and the edelbrock crab style with elbow, and the L76 won, but it was on a N/A application, so it could have been totally backwards if it was on a turbo motor, who knows. I would like to see a comparison between a FAST 90 and an edelbrock with 90mm elbow and TB on a turbo motor, to see the dyno differences.

i totally agree i want to see as well just in price alone a few hp can be over looked if you catch what im saying lol
