Default is it possible to run stock TB with victor jr. intake and an elbow?

is it possible to use my stock 3 bolt throttle body on an victor junior intake with either a intakeelbows.com or wilsons elbow? seems most of these elbows are set up for a 4 bolts throttle body. was hoping to save some money with a ported stock one instead of shelling out for an aftermarket one. Thanks for any help on how i can make this work or what is out there that will work for me.

The TB would become the choke point, not really worth doing that intake and a factory TB. I'm sure intakeelbows.com will make you one to work though.

I disagree. That set-up will work fine as many use the stock throttle body for 1000+ hp builds. Also, an Aaron's elbow can be made to work with the factory throttle body. Another thing to point out is that most intercoolers have a 3" outlet, basically the same diameter as a stock throttle body. What's the point of running a 90mm (3.5") throttle body when the pipe feeding it is only 3"? If anything you would be losing air velocity by pushing it through a 3" pipe and then into a larger 3.5" throttle body. Now if you had an intercooler with a 3.5" discharge, a 90mm t.b. would work fine...

I ran the stock 78mm tb on an elbow built by aaron's on my vic. jr. for a long time and it worked great. Made 700+ rwhp on a iron 346 with a D1sc.

Only problem is that I haven't heard of anyone thats been able to get an email response from him (either address) for over 6 months. Not sure he is still in business.

There are people in the low 8's and over 160mph with a stock TB. Given it is pretty much 3" diameter, same as the intake plumbing most people use.

In no way is it a restriction, until making insane power.

I'm using a 4 bolt to 3 bolt throttle body adapter made by FAST. Just call them and tell them what you need. It was under $50 and mated perfect with no leaks.
