procharger guys need help
ok bought a 220 amp alternator from power basterards. My car is a 98 there are two bronze bushings that push in to the stock alternator bracket the lower one sticks out about 1 to 2 mm and i dont know if it should be flush with the bracket like the top one. I have had belt slip issues ever since I put on that new alternator. What are your guys thoughts could i have put the bushing in the wrong hole? Are they the same size? wrong alternator. here are some pics to help

I didn't notice it yesterday on the pic's you sent me but the belt tracking on the first pic definitely looks way off. Is it wearing off the edge of the belt? It does look like the alternator is cocked in there and that the bottom of the alternator is out too far. Bob

That bushing on some cars is out further than others. Mine is pretty close to flush with the bracket, yours is sticking out. I have seen others where that bushing was pushed out even after installing the standoffs which can cause alignment issues. Same can be seen in the Procharger installation manual, the bushing on that one is out a fair bit also.
In the end though, that small difference shouldn't be the inherent source of any belt slipping problems you may be having. The serpentine belt drive handles slight alignment differences pretty well. Are you using the 1/8" spacer on the bottom standoff?
What pulley combination do you have on the blower and what size belt are you using?

With the standard Procharger crank pulley and the 3.7" HU pulley you're looking at I think a 51.5" belt with the adjustable idler installed in the closest position to the head unit. (This should make sense after you get the bracket with the instruction document.)
