Have a little update on the car. Had a set of custom rally wheels made with correct back spacing to work with my strange brakes for the back of the car so I could get it a bit lower to help with the traction issues. Took 6 wheels to make 2 but got them done and it worked. Car ran 10.03 @ 135 with a 1.47 60ft last sunday. I still had my 3.00 gear in it from power tour and decided to see what it would do and was pleasantly surprised. The only thing that is differant was the rear wheels and the gear.

Nice! With bonneville gears.
Too bad it wasn't a half mile track. :-)
Got pics with the new wheels?

Just an FYI, early wheel makes a sweet set of wheels for cheap.
I had them make me rallys with a 5 3/8" backspacing to fit my 275's with no lip modification.

That's what I have. Stockton Wheel made me two 5 1/2 back space.Problem I had is I have strange rear disc brakes and the inner barrel where it tappers for the center section on of the wheel hit the calipers. There for they had to cut the wheel in 3 places and move the lip on the inner part of the wheels around. Kind of a pain and probable the most expensive 2 steel wheels ever made but wanted to keep rally's on the car at all costs.

well back to the track last sunday, traction sucked all day but still managed a 10.005 @135. Bumped it up to 15lbs to try for a nine but I think the turbo is close to tapped as I picked up no mph. I put car on the scales there and it's 3225 without me. After 3 seasons it's time to switch it up, new aluminum 5.3 and On3 7876 ready to go in for the next.

It must 60 pretty good. ET is close to in line with the mph.
10 flat @ 130+ was my goal. Blew right past that with my L33.
:-)
My Nova weighs nearly the same.

Not to bad. Went a 1.49, not to bad considering I had to grab 2nd right away cause it was shaking tires real bad. I don't have a t brake either.

My dad bought this car from Yenkm68 a couple of years ago. It will be going for sale at Mecum in Indy this Friday.

Hammer price was $41,000. The $45,000 number includes the buyer’s fee.
