Default Bypass valve mounting/install question

I am running (2) vortech race bypass valves on my Ysi setup. Both are mounted near each other. My question is:
The tube came with one of the mounting flanges already welded on from vortech. The other I had to have welded on. For those familiar, the mount consists of a small tube (stand) and flange. The stand gets welded to the tube and the flange welded to the tube. I didn't catch it until later, but the stand was welded in with part of the stand protruding down (1/4-3/8" or so) into the tube it is welded too. I am wondering if this will cause any sort of airflow restriction. I could probably dremel most of it out if necessary but if it won't hurt airflow, I am not going to mess with it. My initial thought was WTF but the more I thought about it, I don't think it will matter but thought I would seek the advice of those with more experience.

My highly technical drawing should help explain the situation.
