many people do it on a 348 ls1, i dont see a problem. just my thoughts are stay away from the STS kit unless you want oil in your intake and your turbo to seize up a few months later. the sts can be made to work correctly but requires fabbing up some parts and modifying some of the parts it comes with, and upgrading the shitty oil pump they give you to a mocal pump.

My buddy (user here), has a 370/th400 with a custom made TC76 rear mount. He recently ran 10.80 on 13# first time out.
He plans on porting the 317's, sending the convetor out to tighten it up a bit. Should be a bottom 10sec car no problem.
He runs stock manifolds, 2.5 to a 3" Y and a 2.5" charge pipe to the intercooler.
