Help needed for choosing trans for new build
While now that my camaro is mostly finished im about to begin a new project.i should be picking up a caged fox body roller here on wensday, plans for the car is to be a street strip car that traps 140+.planning on running a 4.8 with rod bolts, headstuds ls9 gaskets, cam,and a set of twin 66s. With that being said im stuck between a glide or a th400.I plan to start out with a stock 3.08 gear set but think ill need to go to 3.55s. Id think a glide would be a better choice but im not 100%.your guys input would be great,im also planning on running a brake and around a 3500stall.
Thanks

Thats good to know,my thinking is a glide would put more load on the motor and inturn make better power and acceleration down the track. As far as price goes it would be within a few hundred dollars.im assuming a glide would be better for a max effort build but wanted your guys thoughts, both are 1:1 in high gear so cruising on the street the glide should be just fine
