(In)sanity check
OK - this is my first venture into the world of turbos, but I have built many NA engines over the years.
I am putting a 427 LSX (all the good stuff - RHS block, Sonny B crank, AllPro heads, Oliver rods, etc.) for a twin turbo application.
Doing the math manually and using Garrett's web advisor (http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/webadviser), it looks like two GTX4202R - 102mm, 56 trim, 0.60 A/R and a 1.15 turbine housing (housings are sold separately) is about right.
The target is about 1300HP in street trim (dialed down boost, pump-ish gas) and 2300HP in race trim.
It will have an air / air intercooler.
I plan on using it for Tx Mile / Silver State Classic runs / etc. as well as shows and other messing around (not a daily driver).
So, I am looking at 39.75 PSI boost in racing trim and 13.75 PSI in street trim.
Thoughts?
