Talking Chevelle turbo sizing

My brother has a 71 Chevelle with an LQ9 and L92 heads. It's equipped with a 4l60e and 3.55 gears. Compression is 10.4. He is considering a single turbo build with the hopes of a low boost, low rpm, torque rich characteristics. Is it even possible to find a turbo that spools up quickly, makes plenty of stump pulling torque and still gives you a 600hp motor at higher rpm? While a cam may fix the lack of torque, it won't give you torque and that high a hp correct?

Your going to have to undersize the turbine to get those characteristics. The new Turbonetics 7675 or a Precison 7675 would do it. On a budget the S400 is an option too and half the price.

The 4L60E wont last long if he drives it hard on 600rwhp.

Go twin 62's with a T-3 v-band housing. It will be an animal.

Twins aren't an option. More piping, more parts to supply hp a single turbo can. Nova what a/r are we talking about for the S400. Personally I would rather he get a screw type supercharger but they are staggering in cost.
