Default Bearings for Turbo 383 Motor

Hi,

I have a LM7 Block this is currently being bored out to accept Ls1 Size Wiesco Pistons along with a 4" Eagle Crank. This will also be turbo'd with 2 X on3 70mm's.

After searching for bearing clearances I find the most used are:-

Mains .0023 - .0025
Rods .0025 - .0027

I plan on using Clevite H Series bearings.

If I buy a set of standard size bearings and plastigauge them and they are not in this range do I need another set is this my only option?? Or shall I buy a different size to start with that might get me within this range? Have no idea what the standard range is.

I dont want to but multiple sets if I dont have too.

Thanks

Neal

Where ever you are getting the block machined take your crank and rodS to them and let them set it up. Plastic gauge works but no ideal for higher hp engines they need to be spot on
