I'm currently making 15psi of boost at 6800 and my exhaust consists of original QTP 1 3/4 headers (standard merge collector) with a Kooks ORY into a Magnaflow catback.
Is it worth it to go with a set of 1 7/8" headers (ARH) vs. what I have?

I honestly don't think you will see much...definitely NOT worth the money unless you got a steal on the headers.. Hell going to a 2" primary probably isnt worth much more..
I went from LG Super Pro 1 3/4" on my old stock motor/D1sc setup to 2" ARH on my new build, so it was not an apples to apples test to see header gains alone but...My gut instinct is I really didnt gain much at all from the header swap... Maybe 20hp or so in the 900hp area... Definitely not worth the $1600 it cost me for new headers/x pipe...
I will say the 2" ARH headers fit damn good though.
A buddy of mine just dynoed 816rwhp with a D1SC at 15 psi on a 402"/ported 243s with 1 3/4" headers from Breathless Performance in a C6/stick car... I thought it was DAMN good for a D1...

I would think 1 7/8ths,and a nice true dual exhaust would net you some gains,my car pulled alot harder with duals vs the magnaflow,it depends though,if your trying to get every lil bit out of it, its worth it,if it was me i would just add a cutout and call it a day,and up the boost a bit lol,but im cheap

Thank you for this post. It's probably not worth it then. Hell, I'm still only commanding 14-15 degrees of timing, I bet I'd see more of a gain adding a degree or two than I would see from swapping headers, and all that requires is a few keystrokes. Before anyone screams about safety, I'm spraying meth/water, on a forged motor and don't get any knock, so going from 14 degrees to 16 or 17 isn't unsafe.

A year ago I switched my old Mac mid-lengths with an ORY out with some TSP 1 7/8 inch LT's with an ORY and gained 29 hp and 18 lb ft of torque. Nothing else was changed when I did this. Not quite apples to apples but I thought it was worth it.

Yeah that is still subjective to your particular set-up. I mainly changed them out because I pulled the tires once and the Mac's connected with the K-member causing a dent. Plus they were old and sad looking. I was happy with the results. I also changed nothing with the tune on mine since doing the swap.
