Default another 5.3 turbo build, have a few ?'s.

I am looking to buy a 5.3 next week and ran across an 02 5.3 for $300. The only problem it has low oil pressure but ran good otherwise. I am going to change the cam anyways to a TU1, LS6 or Comp grind with Brian Tooley spring kit. I plan to go thru the engine, I think it's just the cam bearings b/c this came out of a friends suburban. I also found a 2005, for $900 at a local salvage yard with a warranty so which should I buy? I am going to put LS9 headgaskets, headstuds, 80lb injectors, on3 76mm turbo, truck manifolds, LS1 intake or truck intake, have both & alky injection. I would like to go with a built Glide but don't know how well it will work on this combo or Th400 haven't decided yet. This setup is going into my 95 Transam that already has a Fab 9" rearend, antirollbar, 40 spline axles, full suspension, BMR K-memeber, upper and lower a-arms, 8.50 rollcage and weighed 3,200lbs with the old n2o combo. I have since put Aerospace brakes and removed another 100+lbs. I also have a Precision 4k converter that was tight on my old setup so it should work well. I don't know if I need an intercooler with alky injection? I plan on running C12-16 at the track on 20psi of boost. The car will be street/strip but limit boost to 10psi on the street. I also don't know if I should go with stock LS PCM or MS@-3 for fueling and ignition. I am also looking for a budget wastget and blowoff valve. Here is my car. http://www.gmhightechperformance.com.../photo_05.html
Thanks for any help.

When you say low oil pressure how low is it? Do you know what weight oil your friend was running? I plan to run Valvoline VR1 20w50 for my 5.3.

The 05 motor will come with better rods than the 02 motor, just depends on how much you are willing to replace or spend....

I am buying the ebay studs so thanks
The engine had a bunch of miles, like 200k so I was either going to buy rods/pistons or upgrade to the 05+ parts. I am thinking about just biting the bullet and going with aftermarket parts except for the crank.
Yes, I know the 05 engines are better from the factory thats why I dont know if I should buy the other engine or just upgrade the 02 5.3 with the $600 I would save by buying it?

I also plan on putting a small shot of n2o on it once it's all dialed in to make some more power.
