Default About to start a turbo build/build a bottom end and would like some opinions!

Hello gentlemen! Im currently in the process of trying to figure out which route to go with my build, so figured ill post here on ls1tech and know you guys will steer me in the right direction according to my goals.

I currently have a 2002 M6 camaro with a prc stg 2.5 ls6 heads/tsunami cam package(Thanks Texas-Speed!), ls6 intake, full exhaust and a Nitrous outlet 78mm plate kit. The car has trapped 122 n/a, always ran awesome and should be 135+ on bottle from some races ive had with friends who are in that range.

With that being said, Ive always wanted a turbo car and its time to go that route!

As for my goals, I would like to make 800whp chillin and 900whp on kill if needed. What i was thinking about doing is getting a truck mani kit, enough turbo for 900whp and building a bottom end.

1) Which hotside/turbokit would support that power?
2) My ls1 is currently stock block with head studs. should i throw a set of nice forged pistons/rods in there, or go with a forged lq4/lq9 iron block bottom end?

I'll start there and can answer questions about other things as they are brought up.

I'll bump this since I am also curious about bottom end options on an LQ4.

I prefer the LQ4/9 setup personally. It is heavier, but unless you're autocrossing, etc. it doesn't matter much with as much boost as we can run with them! You can build a truck manifold setup that'll make 900whp, just size the turbo correctly (you'll need something like an S480 with a race cover to do this efficiently), and use a good piston (JE/Wiseco) and rod (I personally would go with a set of Billets if you're not on a tight budget). Then upgrade to LSA heads and swap intakes when you get greedy (it'll happen)! >=)

Well, I went ahead and ordered a Huron Speed turbo kit yesterday, along with one of the new turbonetics 78/75 turbo and will see how that performs.

For the bottom end, I'm going to purchase a set of wisecos/decent rod(havent decided yet) and run the forged 347. I figure 800+whp will be more than enough fun for me without getting too crazy and saves me some weight by keeping the aluminum block.

What would be a good cam to use on the turbo setup? I currently have the Tsunami(235/240 duration & .650ish/.608 lift) and know ill need something more turbo friendly.
