Too much turbo for my goals? (s480 race cover)
We are getting ready to build a 79 Malibu 3200 race weight. This car will be an 1/8 mile only car and we are looking to run 5.60's with a 1.2x 60"
I currently have a brand new s480 with a 96mm turbine wheel and 1.32 AR and a race cover. For some reason I feel it's way to much turbo for what i Am trying to do and think a s476r or s475 1.10AR would Maybe suit me better.
Here is the combo:
370
Stock LSA's with Manley valves 9.8:1
Holley hi ram 92mm
Custom cam
Th400 w/T brake
Ptc converter
9 inch
3.50 gears
C16 or shell race fuel
So what are you guys opinion? Should I just run the 80mm or sell it and run something more efficient?
