Default ls9 or ls3 cam??

So while reading for hours - I could only find a few dead ends of stock ls3 cam threads.

I'm in the market for a <$100 cam and I'm stuck between those 2. Little note, I don't use a cam position sensor so I won't have to waste money on cam gears and front covers.

The specs I found for the ls3 can makes it very similar to the 01 zo6 cam. The exhaust duration is alittle lower than the ls6 cam. But the LSA is like 117 vs the ls9s 122.5 or something crazy.

This is going in a stock bottom end 5.3 with stock heads and stock 4l80 stall. Its not a max effort build at all.. it is in a 4000 lb truck though

I would love to spend 350+ on a custom specd can - but its just not in the budget

What would you do?

I would do the LS9, if not the LS7(when used on a 1.7 rocker) is also very similar specs only on a 120 LSA.. Used ones go fairly cheap, I might have one laying around in the garage

If you can get a LS9 cam then go for it. You can also check in the classifieds for some good cams that sometimes are for sale at cheap prices.
