Default 90 degree turn prior to TB, does it matter?

I am building my intercooler piping system and with hood clearance, turbo location, etc it would be very advantagous to put a 90 transition prior to the throttle body to put the intercooler piping in the right location. I will not be running over about 18 lbs of boost in a 408 ci with a 102 TB. I can perhaps have a straight section prior to the 90 but it would be best if I could use the silicone adapter directly on the TB and run the intercooler piping right to it.
Will this affect my horsepower very much if at all?
Thanks in advance.

No, it shouldn't matter too much (never want any tight bends if possible), safe to assume you will not be running a MAF?

Yes, that is correct. No MAF. I am using the the Holley EFI HP set up. I have this installed in a Vega Pro Gas type car that I am putting back on the street.

If you cant help it, a 90 will be fine. However, if you can swing it, dont use a 90*. Air doesnt like changing direction.
