Default WG questions

I have a modified on3 ford kit with 44mm waste gate and a 6lb spring. I picked up a tial 38mm waste gate with an 8lb spring also. SinceTial sells different spring fairly cheap, would it be worth swapping my WG? I'm running a tc78 on my 6.0L and it will be getting retuned for 10-12lbs on e85.

Thank you for all advice

Matt

It depends on the placement of the wastegate. If its not in an ideal location with great flow the 44mm might control the boost better then a 38 at that boost level. If you only wanna do it because the springs are cheaper then just buy a cheap manual boost controller and use that to set your boost.
