1968 camaro radiator choice?
this is a very small budget build
68 camaro I think around 3000lbs
05 5.3 motor
60lb injectors
gt45 turbo
ls6 cam and BTR springs
ls1intake
fast rails
4l60e tran w/trailblazer 2600 stall (I know I my need to replace later)
everything else is stock.
What I'm looking for is a street car, low boost 6-8psi and around 450-500rwhp.
what my question is I was going to use the stock 2002 ls1 radiator. Because of price I can pick up aftermarket one for $75. but my concern is will I run into overheating problems? and yes I'm keeping the AC I live in Florida
If I will what other radiator do you recommend budget mind it. And will adding a 160 thermostat make a difference in my application

I run a 3 row champion in my '69 with 500 fwhp SBC and 180 degree t-stat. Cool as a cucumber. Once drove it thirty minutes to a dyno, strapped on, did five runs back to back while logging temperature and it stuck at 178. Don't know if the LS needs anything else but is there any reason why the Champion for a first gen won't work considering it bolts right in?

Try to get a double pass....they work great and are very efficient.
It is what I have put in a few cars, including big ole big block camaro that always puked in traffic...
They are griffin double pass rads on eday for $125 direct replacements.
