turbo forged 370 build. what to get and where
I have a stock lq4 which I plan on using the stock crank in this boosted application. I was reading on here and other sites and didn't find an answer as to which rods and pistons are better and why. A lot of guys run either wiseco pistons and eagle H-beams rods or diamond pistons and callies rods. Depending on which thread you read, they say different things as to which is better. if you have part numbers and where's the cheapest place to get them that would be great. This build is so popular, there has to be a definite answer out there.

it depends on your hp goal but if you do some searching you will find plenty of 8 second stock lowerend 6.0 engines on boost. that is stock block, crank, rods, pistons, and rings with the gap opened up. in my searching the fastest 6.0 street strip cars I have found any amount of build info on are stock engines. the cars I found are a nova and a mustang and they are both in the 8.30s at 32-3300 lbs. its going to be hard to find info when the stock parts are so strong. jmho.

I just broke a piston skirt last week so I'm not going with stock pistons or rods. Texas speed was on my list of companies because I have their TU1 cam and loved their customer service.

I have dealt with Texas Speed several times. I love their customer service and products! I use several others but for many parts I have ordered from TexasSpeed
