found out I need a higher stall. So if anyone wants a lower stall 10" PTC 3k stall I want a 36 to 4k.. anyway so only ran a 11.68 but at 130mph.
slip reads
60' 2.023
330' 5.439
660' 7.883
mph 101.78
1000' 9.950
1/4 11.686
mph 130.05

that was off the trans brake, it would only stall up to 2500 and was not even close to being on boost yet.. there is a lot more left in it for sure.
boost was 15psi with a 11.1 afr and pulled back to 20* on 116.

I don't think your converter is the problem. I have a 3k PTC converter as well and I can get it to 4500 and possibly more on the transbrake. What kind of timing and AFR do you have when your trying to get it up on the brake? Is your power valve opening too soon? Can you make any boost on the two step? Do you have an exhaust leak or charge piping leak? I would look elsewhere before you pull the converter.

ya it runs good, afr stays good but the stall being so low at 2500 ish and with 3.25 gears it takes probably 100 + down track before boost hits at around 32-3500 then its gone.. Im going to work on getting a 38-4k stall and I already have a tick cam here Im going to put in this weekend. I also have a bw475/87/1.0 coming but that wont help with lag over this ching chong on3 on it now.

I don't know Adam, that sounds more like what a Chinese quarterback would say in the huddle. have you tried adding a little Soy based bio-fuel to get it lit sooner?
I'm going to plumb mine with one of Weston's spool valves and see if I can get a little better bottom end performance out of it.

Thank you Martin.. Im used to diesel stuff where you notice changes.. well I can definitely notice a difference with your cam compared to the 02+ls6 cam I replaced. Spool is faster, only about 3psi less vacuum but well worth the idle sound I now have.
Also I doubt I will have a direct comparison from track times because of the laundry list of things to change at the track. Besides it needs a stall to work right, working on a 36-4k stall so maybe I can leave with some boost and run the low 10's I want to drive off the street and rip off, then drive home.. Also I think the cage might be going in before all this happens..
