Default Anyone running the GT42?

Just was wondering if anyone was running the eBay GT42, and if so what is your set up. I know plenty of people are using the GT45's on 5.3 with good success. I have a LY6 the I was thinking of doing a front mount setup on a 99 T/A. The GT42 I was considering I believe has the 75mm compressor, 77mm turbine, and 1.05 a/r on the hot side. I plan to have just a fun street car, no real track time unless its a test and tune type deal. Any experiences with this turbo would be helpful. Thanks in advance!

No experience with china turbos, but for a couple hundred more you could get a borg/warner 75 mm turbo that would put out more power, and be more reliable.

Yep, I've seen them. The T6 frame S475. I appreciate the recommendation. I would like to hear from anyone who has ran the GT42. This isn't a track car, nor a premium show ride. Just trying to see the results people have got from this turbo. Keep the info coming though, I'm always willing to learn!

ebay GT45 with the 77mm turbine wheel has been 9.18@147mph at 2980 race weight in a nissan 240sx with IRS.

made 730whp on a mustang dyno at 17psi on E85. Oh yeah, that was on a cam only, 799 headed, gen IV 4.8L. TH400 and a brake

I think the gt45 is how I'm gonna start out. I have a 5.3L that I can play with that may be better matched for that turbo. My only thing is I wouldn't have a use for the 6L, and I really wanted a boosted 6L. Maybe I can sit it to the side for a future date. By the way, what size injectors were you running when it made 730rwhp???

Thanks! I was looking to get some 80# injectors. I have a set of siemens deka 60# I am probably gonna start with. I'm looking for 550-600rwhp. I think I can be satisfied with that.
