WOW! Interested to see how it turns out.
But, FYI, a Victor Jr with an Accufab 4BBL throttle body and a carb hat fits under my flat hood......with the normal cowl trimming of course.
Then again, this doesn't look like a 4th Gen Fbody. What is it that going into??

I was able to fit a 4150 carb and 2 in. filter under this stock hood, also an edelbrock ultra low elbow.

Nope, I have a buddy who's family owns a steel and machine shop, he has done the aluminum welding, set me up on the mill, and given me materials. All he wants in return is a drive

Here's another one of my ideas
Bought some used nascar dry sump pulleys and matching belt on ebay for $50. I put keyways in them and made up a mandrel that screws onto the water pump on the lathe, Bolted the pump with a $10 bbc alternator bracket to the truck ac bracket. Belt drive on the cheap
