RHS build for TT 1K Midengined Kit Car

traction control and boost by gear are the hot tip
you will make way too much torq as soon as the turbos hit so going bigger and spooling later will actually be advantageous in a car this light and it will help preserve the transaxle
I'd use the GT40 box if possible as the ricardo or whatever it's called is really strong
I got a ride in a heffner gt with 1k at the tire and it topped out at 70 in first gear with some big 345 michelins on the back and 2nd gear blew past 100 faster than I could imagine
made my ttix car feel pretty humble
those cars rock he bought his for 150 went straight to heffner and spent another 40 now the car is priceless and he's turning down 250 k
stockers are fetching that now

Will do on the Dominator cheers......
I have a CMS modified 996TT Porker box, not as strong as a Ford GT box, those things seem to be undistructable...
CMS fitted a New CWP 3.1 (was 3.44) also a taller first gear internal spray bar Kazz diff and lots of other goodies... So 1st gear 7500rpm is 65mph and 6th gear is 35mph/1000rpm
Boost by gear, was playing with the Holley software last night and found that option, and yes full boost in lower gears will probably never happen but once I get some speed and downforce into the rears then hopefully we can let it go and set some nice times...
Question if there's some Holley EFI guys out there, how do I limit the max Boost overall by a dash switch.. Must be able to do it just haven't found it yet.

Well the weather was nice enough the other day to push the old girl outside....
No update on the engine, seems I picked the wrong time of the year to have it built. Still not sure I made the right decision on the builder either as I've left numerous messages and I'm getting frustrated with no replies or call backs... But I'll give them one more week and 2 more calls !!!!!

Scratch built chassis we started with nothing but a flat bed and a few ideas. Then as I got into Cad, started making changes virtually before doing them on the car. Now whole chassis and running gear is on PC.... Yes I started with a body I pulled from a set of molds I own but it was just a starting point, and now only the center section look similar the rest are all changed and require new molds to be made....
Here's a list things I wanted at the start of the project, over my GTR that I built and drove before.
1. Allot stiffer chassis with the engine as a Semi Structural member
2. Centrally mounted larger 20 Gallon Fuel tank (lower Polar Moment of Inertia, and better protected form a Crash)
3. Better suspension setup, longer wishbones front and rear (more stable Roll Centres and better for a softer setup for road driving)
4. Allot Less scrub radius to make the front suspension work better, and EPAS for low speed car parking etc
5. More room in the cabin, for larger seats (Wife requirement for more comfy wider seat), but also easier for seating/hand Brake/ Gear linkage clearance
6. Less pedals to steering offset, and better pedal ratios for easier braking and clutch depression
7. Access panels under front clip to get to pedal area without having to hang upside down in the cabin
8. Fuse panel that you don't have to unbolt to get to change a simple fuse
9. In-board suspension at the rear. Front in board for the Racing Version ( Yes there will be a track pack for those track day Customers )
10. Larger Ally radiator with more ducted air for those people who love Turbo charged Cars
11. Rear Canopy window ( Thanks gain to my Friend who did the original version of the window, just could not have that after seeing his car) which might now mean some limited rear vision though the rear bulkhead
12. Better engine bay cooling with ducted air now being forced in and out of the engine bay
13. A forced induction Scoop that's in a High pressure zone above the disturbed air rolling of the roof
14. A usefully Diffuser that starts at the engine to Gearbox adaptor
15. Wheel arch venting similar to that of the Segaris and most Modern day Le Mans cars
16. Positive pressure venting of the cabin, so you don't have to have the AC on when moving
17. Electrical Heated windscreen
18. No I said NO lowered floor pan to ruin the under car areo.... but still be able to seat a 6'5" male with a Helmet.....not banging his head on the roof or roll cage either
19. A rear clip that pivots at the roof not at the back, so even if you leave the rear clip unbolted it wont destroy the rear body work at 150mph Ah Simon !!!
20. The ability to run larger wheels for those among us with 20's in mind, or better still 19" with taller side walls for more traction and better road manors
21. Bigger and Lighter brakes ( Still working on this one, but is passable all depending on budget)
22. Billet machined up rights...
23. LSX Engines as standard, with Porsche Gearbox or Gearfox T900 as a Option ( Gearfox T900 was used in the Zonda and Konigzeg, and can be specked as a Sequential)
Break down of the car so far :-
1. nearly 5 times stiffer
2. Designed (building tank now)
3. Done
4. Done Scrub and Trail are less than 30mm (scrub was over 130mm)
5. Main Cabin rails 50mm further apart
6. Pedal ratios now 5.5 to 1 (GTR is 3.6 to 1) Pedals also now Billet 6061
7. Done in new center mold.
8. Location of panel if I fit one not finalized (May go Smartwire or PDM)
9. Inboard front and rear now, rear has ability to move a single bolt and have 20% stiffer wheel rate if needed, also has Indy Car
adjustable rear Sway Bar, front Blade Design coming. So Brake Bias and F/R Sway bars will all be adjustable from Cabin while driving.
10. Rad now 30% bigger
11. Still planned but shape has changed
12. Better side cill vents now will pull air into the rear.
13. Have 2 designs one made in prototype but have moved the scoop so new version coming.
14. Diffuser now 67" long and starts at the front of the motor, but have plans for next car to start it under my seat another 16" further forward ( basically will loose 0-3" of bottom of the fuel tank, but will gain a even more forward Center of Pressure )
15. Yes
16. Yes Easy one to be honest
17. Yes from a Stealth B6 race Car
18. Yes raised the body up 1", moved the rear bulkhead backwards and now a true flat floor.
19. Yep
20. Yes
21. Only funds stopping this one at present
22. Yes designed and CNC'ed on my own machine...
23. LSX all the way here....
and if you want some light reading...

I hope it works out for you. I have read about a lot of issues with the RHS blocks so keep an eye out for any coolant leaks. There have been lots of issues.
I hope this is not the case for yourself just a heads up. Killer build you have there.
