Default twin 5.3 converter

what would be a good converter for a twin 5.3 .car will weigh about 3200 and driven a lot.wanting around 800 hp.I have a 4l80e

Look into circle d triple disk probably around 3200 stall speed. Also check out ptc. I have both circle d in one car and ptc in another both work great.

Yank makes an AWESOME converter, as does Circle D.

If you want to retain lockup, a multi-disk converter is recommended. With a single disk at wide open throttle, bad things will happen if the converter tries to lock.

You can still get away with a single disk as long as you don't lock in the first three gears.
