How does the car drive around town with the glide and the 3.27's? Also what diameter tire?
Sweet car man! Wicked fast!

Thank you!

It drives great on the glide/3.27s and can cruise on the highway at a reasonable rpm. I run a 28" tire.

I will definitely run another glide in future builds.

Looks like I am going back to the track Friday.

Its close to the end of the season so I will be running it pretty hard. Probably a Transbrake launch but I might try one more on the footbrake first.

Really going to push for 8s. We will see how quick I can get all 3300lbs moving.

Thanks guys! I have a few things I am doing to drop some weight from the car this week I will post up. Just a lightweight battery and a different exhaust for the track which will be aluminum dumped behind the pass front tire. Over winter I should consider some fiberglass body parts (hood/bumpers minimally) to drop even more weight.

Also I might swap to a different powerglide before Friday that has a straight cut 1.8 gearset.

9.04 @ 150.6 first and only pass last night. Converter from Yank appears to be too loose unless it is the trans. I was on the limiter 100ft or so at 7000rpm. I should have enough gear/tire 3.27/28" to go much faster. Motor is making some noise so I might pull it today.

Great season and the car was flying last night. Wish it could have made the full pass 5.8 125 in the 8th. 1.59 60 on the footbrake

Hope the engine prob is minor. Smart move yanking it out.

Nice pass! At 125 in the 1/8, should have been 154-155 in the 1/4. Or more.

6 out of 8 rods are visually bent. Pistons/bearings look excellent. Gen 4 rods.

Better than broken.
Built in safety devices.
I guess some decisions now.

13-14* About 20-22psi on this pass with a mix of 93/C12 I run it around 11.0 but closer to 11.5 up top. It audibly let go when I was on the limiter. I wish I had gopro of my reaction inside haha

I am really happy with how it looks inside and will put this motor together as a spare probably with forged parts. Ive had a 408 on the stand for months while I went for 8s on a stock motor.

I don't think its really the power that bent them. More like that insane torque number....

You could probably drop the torque a couple of hundred ft-lbs and pick up that much in HP and not bend another set, and run a mid-upper 8.
