Default Alternator wiring

I'm using the 2000 6.0 alt in my foxbody. Anyone have any info on wiring it up? It has P L I S where my connector plugs in. I'm running the bat wire to the pass thru terminal on my firewall that the bat cable hooks to. I know L is lamp, I is the exciter terminal. I remember something about resistors having to be used so I figured I'd better ask. I thought Denmah had something about this but I can't find it.

I just wired up my one wire alternator. Might be different then yours. All you have to do is solder in a 470 ohm, 1/2 watt resistor in place and connect to switched power source.

RadioShack has the resistors.

P isn't used, S goes to the large bat term on the alt, and I get F & L mixed up
I think F gets switched +12, and L gets the rest. or the lead from the idiot light on the dash, but don't quote me on that, going from memory
some plugs are listed as 1234, or ABCD
