Talking [VR] 707-rwhp 1LE with just 3 mods!

That's right... 1 week worth of work, 3 simple modifications, and a solid tuneup took this awesome 1LE from a 2,000 mile stocker to a serious street machine!

This beauty came to us from Alabama with just 2,000 miles on the odometer and Ron, our great customer, wanted us to take it to the next level, but wasn't interested in tearing the 1LE down for a long time. After carefully going over Ron's goals, we set a plan in motion that would include a blower, a camshaft, and a set of long-tube headers. We knew it would make big power, but we didn't expect it to make quite this much!

Seriously, just three modifications were made and the entire project was completed in less than a week. What could be easier?!

We'll let the results speak for themselves:

707RWHP and 636RWTQ!

Mustangs, get used to this view...

And here's the front, just so they know what it looks like...

So your dyno sheet doesn't look right. Why doesn't your hp and tq cross at 5250?

The hp and tq scales are off. It's still crossing with that fixed.

So does that mean that these aren't the real numbers? Is this corrected or uncorrected, what was the sae smoothing set too?

That is weird... But, I do think these are real, because look at the stock numbers on the graph, they dont cross either... Either way, its beyond impressive. This is about right, he gained 300 rear wheel HP. I love how flat the curve is also...

I apologize, the graph was printed without clicking "force scaling". I'll print another graph for everyone wanting to see it cross differently, but the numbers are the same either way.

We used the fuel system upgrade supplied in the ECS kit (60lb/hr injectors and a fuel pump voltage booster. OE pump and rails)

I'm guessing you guys didn't have to scale the injectors in the tune because of the hardcoded 65lbs IFR limit? If so, that is very impressive.

I hear my 1LE has a zl1 pump as well. is this true?

I would like to see the numbers uncorrected and no sae smoothing too. Great numbers either way.

Nice to see you pull it past 6500. Not many turn them that hard after being boosted.

Seriously, just three modifications were made and the entire project was completed in less than a week. What could be easier?!

An ECS Novi 1500 supercharger system
A set of American Racing long-tube headers with an upgraded X-pipe and exhaust
A VR Kaotic camshaft plus kit
3 kits =/= 3 mods.

Been turning a stock cam only ls1 to 7k for 6-7 years. Last 3 years was at 600-700whp. Call me lucky I guess

I'm right there with ya 95bowtie. I've been turning my bolt on ls6 7k for years....shift it about 6800. I've been thinking about bumping the Rev limit to 7200 because it still raps the limiter so fast.

Sorry for the highjack...... this is one of my favorite builds. Very simple and great results.
