Default Turbo 383 idle hangs after WOT pull.

Just got the car done Friday and everything was running great. I took a buddy of mine on a short burst through 2nd 3rd and 4th so he could see what it was all about. When I let off the idle stayed at 3k. Turned it off for a while and it dropped a tad down to about 2.5k or so. When I got home I checked vacuum lines and couldn't see anything off but when you barely give it gas it makes a strange hissing type of noise for a second. I wouldn't necessarily say it was a hissing but something really similar to and it only does it when you just barely touch the gas. Car runs totally fine other than the idle and weird noise for a second issue.

Any ideas on what to check? I'd really rather fix this on my own if it is a simple thing.

Thanks
Wayne

Also don't know if it helps but when I shut the car off it makes a shwoop sound as it shuts down. It never did that before.

Your blade is prolly hanging open.
Was happening to me but only on idle n every now n then after low throttle. Sounds like identical symptoms. Cable drive tb.
When its doing it. Pop your hood. Go n physically move the throttle arm. To close it.
I changed tb and it went away.

Did somebody drill a hole in your throttle body?
