Default V1 T trim blowers any good ?

Looking for some opinions on the older style v1 T trims blower. How loud are they, what kind of power can they support.
Anyone have anything good or bad to say about them please chime in.

I have seen a couple on some friends cars. None of them were making a lot of power compared to the other blower guys with D1SC's. As far as quality, I never heard of them having any trouble with the blower units themselves, but then again, its fairly rare that most centrifugal superchargers have catastrophic issues in the first place.

A friend of mine had one on his 01 SS with a small cam, stock 241 heads and laid down 543 rwhp on 7-8 lbs. Car hauled *** too. Blower didn't seem to make noise but he had to hack up his ss hood to make it work unfortunately.

I remember those on some fox bodies back in the day. They were loud and a nice step up from the s-trim.

Don't quote me but I'm pretty sure when I was doing a little research. That its meant for off road use or something alone those lines. Doesn't really makes sense but what can you do.

I had one on Trans Am, never had a single problem with it. It ran 10.40s in a full weight car with 16lbs boost

They are good for about 650hp , that's about all u will get out of them . RMCR makes a low mount for the f body . I went with a Novi 2200 sl .

I would say that's about right. And good luck getting anything from RMCR, absolutely useless. Been there did that.

650 seems kinda low for a bigger blower. C6 Guys are making 750 with 1500s.
A&a and ecs both make a lot more then 650 with there base kits.
I was expecting it to make 800 or so

If u are looken for 800 u will need more than T trim. The problem if u start to over spin them they become heat pumps , and they become inefficient as hell . Go with a YSI or Novi 2200. Yes they are bigger but they are more efficient and they can make more power at the same psi as a T trim , and u have room to grow down the road .
