Seems the problem I run into is at 59 center to center a 3 inch compared to a 3.5 is only like 400-500 rpm different. Both being less then I would spin it to if I would want to push it. Maybe I just need to keep the rpm down? Well I already ordered the driveshaft. I guess I will put it on and at least the thing is mobile. If I run into a issue I will just change it. I have spent money in worse ways. Wish I only needed a 50 inch that would make things easy haha.

Yeah that's why I ended up with aluminum. I can forsee an attempt at a standing 1/2 mile or mile at some point so I figured I should upgrade now.

If you really only plan on some 1/4 mile passes where top speed is only seen for a short period of time, then I wouldn't worry.

Its really only a problem at top speed anyway, you can rev it to the moon in lower gears wihout worry.

I'd throw a safety loop or something under the front of that thing just for piece of mind. You're going to be throwing a lot of power at a $200 DS. Youre not going to have a ton of traction though unless you throw some slicks or DR's on in the future.

Thats what I was thinking is I will through on a DS safety loop on. I don't for see this truck ever seeing the track. I will get this one on so I can drive the thing and tune it. I kinda of wanted to drive it for a summer on the streets and if everything goes well with it I was thinking next year I would put a 4 link in it and coil overs in the back. Once I did that I can always upgrade the driveshaft to something a little stronger if need be. I think for on the street and what I want to do with the truck this year it will be fine.

Well been pretty lazy. I came down with a cold. But did manage to get the carpet in and finish up some interior things.

Thanks guys. I have been working on the Camaro at the same time so updates have been slow sorry. Didn't get driveshaft today. The FedEx said it ran into weather somewhere haha. Should be here tomorrow. Need to get some radiator hoses also. I have Friday off so maybe then. Then we get to make noise!!!

I think anyone that is ordering **** lately that is fed ex 's excuse. I find this funny because anytime you track a package for FedEx they say delay because of weather. I see alot of ups trucks driving around without issue. My opinion fed ex sucks ! Lol. This is one badass build ! Great job.

Yeah I like the flip hood. Comes off with 4 bolts too so its easy to remove if a person needs more room. I did receive the drive shaft yesterday. I have tomorrow off so might get some things done.

Well I was able to get the driveshaft on and button up a couple things. Was able to get all the cooling lines on and flash a base tune in it. Then I was able to make some fire! As you can see in video the AFR is off but hey this was turn key push button! Also you can see I don't have my breather tank mounted yet that is the 3/8 lines over the fenders haha. Enjoy the first start.

Sorry cell phone is al I had handy.

The patina on that truck is perfect. I really like the look of the old dodge cab and front end. Kudos for being different, and good luck with the build.
