Default On3 7665 vs 7876 for SLB LS1??

Huron t4 kit purchased, now am going to be in a financial crunch after that, a 4l80 swap and fuel... SO I need to know what is going to be the best of the "budget" turbos for me to run

Car is a 01 WS6.. Still deciding fuel system, but regardless will run on E85. 4l80 trans, and for the time being... Stock 10 bolt..

So Im just wondering on the turbo for now.. I see alot of ppl saying the on3 7665 is so small of an exhaust side, but am thinking a 7876 might be a little laggy? Just looking for suggestions and input..

No comparison. The 7665 is a joke of a turbo. That is the old tiny ptrim turbine. The 7876 is much more well suited.

Don't be scared of the 7875, it has a 82/75 turbine wheel and will be perfect for your budget build. He's quick video of a car I tuned using a On3 7875, HS turbo kit, and 91 pump on low boost.

7875 laggy? Not a chance.....that is still a small turbine for a ls. Mine spooled to soon and too hard for the street. Made every gear useless besides 3rd which is 1:1 even on mickeys.

7875 wont be laggy at all. Mine lights up too quickly for the street anyway.

Sbe and 10-15#

I'd say full boost within a a few sec of going WOT. Can't really go by rpm for me, from a dig tge converter just shoots right up to 3500-4k instantly and very shortly after makes it way to 4500-5k. We are talking maybe 2 sec, by then it is full boost. So essentially like I said before it is almost instant. This is with a 1.15 a/r as well.

I've ran that turbo and whole exact setup with a t56 as well and it was very responsive.

Mine is full boost around 3500ish on the street, which was about 20lbs. Its always been above 10psi and it spooled the same no matter what level i was at. When it hits, it hits.

I was stock bottom end with 317 heads and a cam i had in the car for years. Rods are bent so its getting built.

okay this is probably a dumb question, and very minor, but what spark plugs should I be using when I install my huron speed turbo kit with an on3 7876, running e85

NGK TR6? There may be better out now, but I think you want a "colder" plug.

Yea I don't know if I should go one heat range colder or two? In my supercharged grand Prix copper core autolite 104s and 103s seemed to be popular and work well

Oh, I forgot your going e85. That might change things a bit. A hotter plug might be better in that case.
