Default Methanol Injection

I am about to purchase a methanol injection kit. Just wondering about the benefits of using the progressive controller over the constant style of injection. Just a little ole street car. 01 Trans Am with a d1sc procharger. 13-15 psi of boost

I researched the hell out of it and went with Alky Control. Julio is great with the advice too. I haven't been running it yet because the car is almost back together. I am using mine as safety and chemical inter cooling not added fuel so much. I'd recommend the same at those pressures especially without a FMIC.

if you run a single nozzle with no controller. youll either spray to much or to little. at low boost it may puddle up in the pipes and at high boost not be enough to be of much value.

run the progressive. its worth it and its only 2 ***** for adjustment. what boost it comes on at. and home much it sprays

Depends if you are wanting to take full advantage of the kit. If you run a small jet for a little extra performance and aren't relying on AUX inj. to keep you out of detonation, progressive isn't necessary. Your jet size won't be large enough to bog the motor down with that type of setup.

If you run alot of nozzle on your kit, the engine will bog initially when the kit is activated. Thats when you need progressive.

Personally I run a non progressive kit with a 12gph jet activating at 10lbs on my 6.0. (50/50 mix) I have zero bog, can't even tell it's kicking on. Also run E85 and an intercooler. So I'm not relying on the AUX injection to keep me out of detonation.

I ran over 30gph on my 3.8 pump gas car... it would fall on its face without the progressive controller.

Good info Force. I think part of my "issues" I was having with injecting water/meth was bringing on too much too soon.
