Default turbo clearance

Im building a 33 ford with 5.3 twin turbos. the pictures are basically where there going just higher up. I was wondering how far away from the fender they need to be as to not burn the paint off. I dont want to put blankets or wrap on them. Basically it will be just a street driven truck. Thanks Mark

If you can put a blanket on the turbine housing you shouldn't melt any paint. As for the compressor housing that should not get hot enough to melt anything. I have my compressor housing right next to my puller fan screen and it doesn't generate enough heat to melt the plastics.
