Talking Turbo newbie....curious on your thoughts

I have a 1966 Nova I'm in the middle of doing a transformation on. I bought a 2004 5.3L out of a Chevy Tahoe with 80K. I want to do a turbo set up on it. Been doing a lot of reading on this site especially from Denman who seems to be the man!! I have come up with what I think will get me where I would like to be but not sure.

- 2004 5.3L 80K
- stock truck intake
- Pac 1218 spring kit
- possibly a mild cam maybe the 220 (220/220 .600/.600 112) Cam from TSP unless there are better options??
- The Denman kit from VS Racing with the GT45 turbo
- Either truck manifolds or buy the header kit from VS or CX racing.
- 3" intercooler with the VS kit.
- Stock PCM tuned because I'm going to run the 4l60E. I know the 80's are better - but won't fit unless I do some major modification to my trans tunnel.
- 80lb injectors.
- i just put a 9" in it and was going to run 4.11's until I read more now thinking more like 3:50's. I am running a 24" tire or close to it.

I was also looking at the VS 88/83?

I would be super happy with 550-600hp at the wheels and looking for something drivable. Im doing this transformation because the old set up was not as fun ti drive anymore. 12:1 377i small block and a 4 speed. Couldn't drive it too far with our either running out of gas or shaking the car to death lol. Had a blast with it but time for a change.

I would appreciate any help or suggestions anyone has. Thank you very much!!
Im sure i forgot something that I will need but well see....

Stick with the GT and definitely agree with above or Tick for a spec grind. Also go with a good converter, 3000-3200 from Circle D or PATC, someone reputable that makes a really well known piece. Good luck with the project, love turbo shoes!
