Cam guidance?
I am putting together a single 78mm turbo 5.3 with china head studs, PAC1218 springs, 80lb injectors, large FM intercooler, etc... I am putting it in a 1979 Trans Am and my goal is to have a fast street machine, fun around town, etc. Hoping to make 600whp+... Transmission will be a 4L80E and I can pick the stall since it has yet to be ordered. I am assuming the rear gear is around 3.08 but I do not know yet.
The springs, studs and new head gaskets are already installed and I do not want to swap springs again unless it is necessary.
I am looking for a cam that will make it easier to meet my goals while still staying under the PAC1218 max lift of .600". Pretty much I want to go aggressive as possible considering the PAC springs. Can someone point me to non custom grind that will work well with a boosted setup?
Thanks in a advance!
