Default thinking of switching to D1SC from Nitrous

I have a Mustang coupe 6.0 that runs 10's on the motor and can drive it anywhere and with 150 shot I run 9:80's driving to the track (56 miles one way) 3:55's and overdrive helps. I hit the nitrous right out of the hole so hooking isn't a problem.
I have a D1SC setup (for a GTO) and was thinking what it would take to get there or faster if possible. I've seen some fast procharged cars but they where not able to tell me what it was like going from 1 power adder to another. My nitrous really works good and I have a second stage with it. How much boost could I take it to.
Getting ready to put in my triple hat tank with all new lines and converting to E85 is why I was thinking of making a switch. My motor is around 460-475 range if I remember NA. Mild setup to DD
any help or ideas would appreciate it.

10-12#'s and meth would get you into the low 9's no problem. Stock engine? What compresssion?

motor in car is stock 6.0 shortblock, I think compression was just a little over 10:1, Now top end is TEA CNC LS1 heads, Vengence ported Fast 92, Fast 92 Tbody. My new 428 we washed out the rings and waiting to decide what to do. Have CNC LS3 heads, Fast 102, NW 102 Tbody and LLSR cam all waiting on my decision. The 428 is flat tops so maybe not to boost friendly.
When you leave is boost easier as it has to build boost? I'm assuming the power level is more linear compared to nitrous. I like to run a small tire and track prep isnt all the best. Took me a long time to get my 60' in the 1:30 range even when prep is marginal for some.

As far as launching.. yes, any type of boost is easier to leave on as its more tuneable. then again do you have a progressive nitrous controller?

no progressive, it can take 200 hit right off the line with no problem. How do you tune, do you mean by pulley size? I'm aware that boost doesnt come on till rpm goes higher. I have a 4000 Circle D triple disc lockup conv but I leave off idle rpm, that works best for my 130's 60' The Procharger will be 12 rib pulley setup as I have plenty of room.

Thats awesome! If you can leave on a straight 200 shot with a 4000 converter your car should be able to take anything you can pulley the D1 to dish out!

I agree, you should hook on a small tire with a D-1SC. Bob
