Default Engine bearings

I just got all my parts back from the machine shop(6.0), and need to order rod and main bearings-it had chewed up the trans side thrust bearing, I kind of thought maybe the conv. did it-anyway, I was leaning toward H bearings for the rods, and something of at least stock quality for the mains
I am using the stock bushed rods which I ran last year w/ARP bolts
Your thoughts

Usually an H bearing is just narrower to allow for a bigger radius on the crank journal. Coated bearings are a whole other story. Sometimes a P bearing can be a little softer too. This will allow any garbage to embed in the bearing and not screw up the crank. Unless the garbage is too big of course. As far as eating up the thrust, could be a conveter issue for sure. Some see it from excessive trans pressure too. If the crank is polished well (no "starburst" look to it) the crank should be good. Could also do the gen 1 trick to chamfer the bearing a little bit while you're in there. It wouldn't hurt.

Should maybe look into getting one of the pressure relief valves for the cooler lines, helps a lot with the LS thrust (since you think that may be why the bearing had issues)

If you don't have already

I like ACL. They run a little looser than other brands. Not too expensive either.

Or just fix the transmission issue
