Default Ideal placement for dual wastegates (help)

Trying to finish my hotside and wondering exactly where I should place my wastegates. One directly after each manifold (close to manifold) or one in each pipe just before turbo at the merge???

Asking because I'm getting mixed answers when searching!

I'm not sure it matters much, but the orientation does. Try to keep 90 or less to the flow direction.

I made my hotside with wastegate placement in mind so that once its all together, I can go back and put them either close to the manifolds with good flow shooting directly in the gates and also close to the merge with good flow going in the gates.

Only want to cut and weld once. I thought I read that "closer the gate is to the turbo the better for low boost"....Or maybe I was just reading wrong. But if that's false, I can put them a few inches out the manifolds for a much cleaner look.
