Default Which Stall converter with a D1SC

Okay had the 4l60e trans rebuilt over the winter ,had a hardened output shaft installed. Now need to figure out if I stay with my Yank SS4000 or switch to a different stall/company. Best time and mods in sig.

The SS series is rated for 650 rwhp. I'd use it and see how the car reacts with it, since you added the ProCharger. Bob

Thanks guys . I have been running it for a few months last season but think it was too much stall before that it was great with just motor but once the extra power it seem to be too loose. I was thinking about trying it again since its all new inside the trans ,before it was 7yrs of abuse. Might even send it back and have it restalled to 3600 or sell it and buy a new one.

No worries , I have a 12 bolt already with 3.73 but getting different gears either 3.23 or 3.31 installed for later.

The 3200 in mine works great with the 3.73's for street or daily driving. If mine were a more track oriented car Id go for a 3600 or so stall and hope it would drop the 60' enough to justify the higher rpm. Idk how much difference it would make having the higher 1st gear ratio in a 4l60 for 60' times though.

I ended up going with a Circle D 3800 and went back to the track with fresh rebuild on trans . The best 60ft so far out of the three passes (first 2 was just to make sure it was good) that day was 1.55 letting out due to wheel hop the 17" M/T just didn't seem to like that and bent the TQ arm mount (still on stock arm ) now looking to buy a body mount TQ arm.

This BMR torque arm works very well, and will take the stress off your transmission. Bob
