Default Turbo Cam

So since it almost seems this is all opinion and not really science I am looking for opinions.

I already have a "boost" cam but with pretty high lift, and large duration seperation I read that this is a no no. I see people mention cams falling around 224/236-114 making awesome power verse 114 cams with lower matching duration.

Anyways i attached the cam card just looking for opinions. Cam would go in a 4.8 with 243 heads a turbo goal is around 700rwhp

Somewhat like you say, for every group of 10 guys with a given cam and great results, there'll be one guy that pops up that has something completely different that makes great power too. Certainly, the manner in which the car will be operated and concerns about MPG, dependability, civility in traffic (if a street car), HP goals, etc etc come in to play.

I went with the Triple 12 cam because of the large group of people that found it to be the kind of compromise that fits my requirements.

Based off inexperienced opinion but I don't think it really matters under a certain power level. A stock ls6 cam has made over your intended goal and will drive better than a lot of "boost cams" since its stock. I think that's why you see a lot of guys with small cams, because huge lift and duration isn't needed for say sub 900whp (arbitrary number) setups so why give up decent street manners?

Sounds like a lot of cam for a small turbo motor

No mention of what turbos, or what sort of rpm range you want to be operating in. Or indeed any sort of usage at all.

But I still think you'd be better changing it

I'm running a 230/230 @ .050 .608/.608 115+2 in my ls1 w/ CNC ported truck heads. Runs hard and spools super fast but gets a little unhappy when when I lug it down around 1,500 rpm. Using it with a TC7868 turbo and a T56.
